Turkey Tom eye discharge white

Hello everyone,

I have some concerns, I have a one year old Tom. For some reason I’ve just notice his eye has a white discharge and Idk what it is nor how to clean it. Is it bacterial or viral or just eye boogers. If so, the flock doesn’t have any of those issues just him. Can anyone help me with this or what to do

To me it looks like his third eyelid is showing. I would just wait and watch it. If it continues you could always try some eye ointment.

What eye ointment do you recommend?

Whatever you can get. I believe some farm stores carry it yet. Otherwise a vet is always a good option.

Does it look more like foam? I would get some
Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store where they ckeep it locked up, and apply a small dab of it into the eye 2-3 times a day. But I would clean out the foam with a clean cloth beforehand. You could also flush the eye with saline before the ointment. If you cannot find that, use plain neosporin ointment or polysporin eye drops. If it is MG, a chronic respiratory disease an antibiotic such as Tylosin or Denagard/Tiagard in the water may be helpful.
