Hello. I have had no luck in finding a vet to see my turkey "Monty". He came to us with an unknown leg injury at the end of May. He was not putting weight on foot, his hock was hot and swollen. Kept him confined, soaked it in Epsom salts, improved diet, tried a round of oxytetracycline and wraps. Nothing helped and I couldn't find any help. Currently his hock is less swollen, not hot and he gets around pretty well on one leg. Still lives in laundry room but spends the days outside. Eats well, poops, decent mood. Allows us to manipulate, massage and clean it , but still no use of leg. He tries to use it, but bears no weight on it. Today I noticed a yellow, spirally, cartilaginous thing hanging out of the back of his "knee". Like someone popped a pimple but its pretty solid. He was actually walking better today and displayed his feathers while in the yard. Advice, vet suggestions in western MA or northern CT?
