Turkey with 3 feet!!!!

I had 4 turkeys hatch over night. Early this morning they were all fluffy and looked fine so I put them in the brooder in the spare bedroom. I just got back home and looked in on them and noticed that one of them had a 3rd foot !!! He's acting fine and drank some water. Only problem right now is the normal foot is curled up and he can't walk on it, the other foor is fine. Any suggestions?

I want him! lol That's really common with Turkeys. He will adapt and be just fine as long as everything internal is normal.

I read about a chicken with a third leg -- she got along fine. I think they called her Tripod -- you could do a search and see if you can find the post. They had lots of pics shared too. The third leg on your bird will probably atrophy.

If you're planning on raising it for Thanksgiving, you'll have a spare drumstick! *giggle*

His spare foot just sort of hangs there but the foot that he would use to stand on is curled up so he doesn't stay up for long, just kind of rolls over. Could I maybe tape his foot to a little piece of cardboard or something to help flatten his foot out?
