I went out to take pics of my 3 bronze turkeys so I could ask if anyone could decode their gender, when 2 of them started to strut! I had never witnessed it before, but they let me know that I have 2 jakes and a jenny.

Christmas and Thanksgiving:

The chickens were less than impressed by the jakes struts. The hens just pecked their butts, and the lower ranked roo chased them around...

Are these the only three turks you have? If so your hen will need company of other turks. And it isnt so good to have only one tom and one hen.. he will over breed her badly. If keepin toms they will sometimes try breed chickens and it will end badly. So. If you will only be left with your hen after thanksgivin and christmas leave the premesis you need think bout another hen or ten for your lady..... turk math and all. Lol!

Yes, those are my only three. The boys won't make it to Thanksgiving (well, one will be there), but I plan on keeping the hen. I also plan on getting some more turkeys in the spring (I'll be able to enlarge their pen then, too). Most likely a heritage breed instead of broad breasted. Right now I don't have a problem with keeping the chickens and turkeys together. In fact, my top roo Tuvok (who is a black Cochin bantam. It's hilarious) sees the turkeys as part of his flock. My nephew tried to pick one of the turkeys up when I wasn't with him, and Tuvok chased him off...
