I have a female bronze turkey, almost 2 years old, who occasionally gets foam in her eyes. I notice it when she is puffed up strutting around because she's mad at the other birds, or myself. Most of what I've read is that foamy eyes are caused from respiratory diseases, but she doesn't exhibit any signs such as wheezing, breathing troubles, or head shaking. She seems very healthy. No other birds in the mixed flock have this problem. When her eyes do foam, I notice that her sinuses puff up from the air she breathes in to make the sounds, and that's when her eyes foam. It makes me wonder if air from her sinus cavity is coming out the corner of her eyes causing the foam. Any ideas?
