I came home to this surprise on Saturday. :/ :hit

She hid her nest in a bush in the yard. I surely wasn't expecting any more poults for the year. As a matter of fact, I was relieved not having to look after any poults. :/

Congratulations kuntry girl :)

my two broodies lost their entire clutches to an unknown intruder that ransacked the nests for the eggs :-( I found one egg that could hatch this coming Saturday. meanwhile my own hatch only amounted to 1 very healthy poult and 1 with spraddle leg :-(

Thanks everyone.

The little yellow feeder and waterer came in handy. I had just bought them on Friday because they were on sale at Tractor Supply. The price was marked down to $6.99 but they rang up for $2.00, so I bought 3 of them. Little did I know that I would be using them for poults AND ducklings that were also a surprise on Saturday but that's another story for the Duck Forum.
