When is it too cold for Turkeys to be outside.

Reason, I have a chicken coop, however I haven't been able to keep Mr. Weasel out and I do not want to lose any more birds.

In the Chicken coop are the layers and there really isn't any room for 2 turkeys. So I have made an A frame small coop, about 4 ft by 4 ft wrapped in chicken wire. I was hoping to keep the turkeys in this, however will it be too cold for the Turkeys? they are currently 7 weeks old.

Can they make it outside like that? I want to ensure they are not suffering or anything.

How old are they? Mine are about 2 1/2 months and I just lost on to what I believe is from the cold. I can't be sure. Her body was warm when I found her but she was stiff already. She was a bit weak to begin with. I'm just really sad this happened. If they are healthy and older they should be fine. My other one is healthy and good to go.

As long as they have a place where they can get out of the elements and keep dry they should be fine.

I had some 2 1/2 month old poults get separated from their mom in a blizzard (we got 15" or so of wet blowing snow, temps low 30's or upper 30's). They all came back one or two at a time and none were lost. Wierd thing was that the blizzard was Oct 5th, yet just a few days earlier temps were in the 90's. But unless they have free range time, 4' x 4' may be a bit small before too long.

No blizzard here just temps dropping into the 50's at night. I feel so awful this happened to my young poult. I just wish I had seen the young poult first thing this morning, I may have been able to do something. It was fine yesterday. Just breaks my heart.
