I read an article about the heritage breeds, and the consensus was that the midget whites and bourbon reds were the best tasting. I like the looks of the Narragansetts, so I'm thinking of those and the bourbon reds in the Spring. I wish I could hatch some now, but it's too cold to ship eggs or chicks...

The Midgets are by far the best tasting, we had a Bourbon red for Thanksgiving and had a Midget yesterday and the Midgets are sooooo much better.

In Gourmet magazine (I think it was the Nov. issue) they taste tested several different breeds of turkey, using both chefs and regular folks to do the eating. The midget white scored highest out of, I think, 7 breeds. The BB was dead last.
