Turmeric? Who has used as an immune booster, & can you give feedback?

Ah, thanks for that photo! Looks like a very easy setup. I just might have to try this come summer. :)

That's barley you're sprouting? Is it just the grain or are you sprouting in soil at all?

If you search "growing fodder" you'll find a huge thread with loads of info.

Back on topic, I'm in the third day of turmeric supplentation. The birds are definitely getting it because the beards on my houdans have turned yellow :gig One of my new kids, Puff, the tiny puff-ball silkie, came to me last week with watery/frothy? eyes. I looked at her this morning and again this afternoon and her eyes are back to normal! Also, Gonzo, my young BA, had this weird hacking cough all winter, kinda like a more forceful, drawn-out "caw", and I haven't heard her do that in a while. Whether these improvements are because of the turmeric is hard to say; but with the weather being what it is, I don't think they magically got better on their own.

The tall, grass-looking stuff is barley. Right now, all the pans are barley and BOSS mixed. As you can (not! lol) see, the BOSS isn't growing well for me. I think my house is too cold, which barley apparently likes.

Oh, and no soil. Soak first day, rinse 3x/day each day after. Since my tins came in packs of three, I use the 9th as the soaker tray, using a perforated tray inside with the seed.
