Is there a reason you can’t do the overnight focaccia? It seems it would be better for sourdough.
If this question was for me, could do it overnight. I'm just short on time to decide which bread I'm going to enter. I have 2 more recipes to try. I'm just getting ready to share how the Focaccia turned out... spoiler, it was pretty good. 🙂

I'm mostly happy with this recipe. I will need to figure out a better way to incorporate the cinnamon sugar mix. I think it needs to be dimpled in before I make the folds. I'm very happy with the structure and texture. I might cut back on the cinnamon. It was actually sour enough.

I still need to see what it tastes like when it's cold, to know if it will be worth entering.

I didn't have cream cheese for the frosting, so I did a thin buttercream glaze. I'll buy some cream cheese tomorrow and frost the other half. Then try it cold.

I have a request from all of you. You can take it or leave it.

I believe I made a new mocktail recipe. I just threw some things together, documenting what I was doing, trying to make something specifically Halloween themed, and I accidentally made something that is extremely delicious to drink.

My request is simple. Could someone please make this recipe and tell me what you think of it and if you think anything should be added to it? I also need help figuring out a name.

Here is the recipe and a picture of what it should look like.

Unnamed mocktail

Serves 1

1.5oz orange juice
1.5oz grenadine
2-3 crushed strawberries
1 cup lemonade, divided (recipe follows)

Lemonade

1 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

Combine orange juice, grenadine, strawberries, and 1.5 oz of the lemonade in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and mix well until cold.

Strain into a wine glass filled 1/3 with clear ice (preferably spherical) and top with lemonade until the glass is full.

BTW, I know I used skull shaped ice. That was part of the Halloween theme.

Anyway, if somebody could, please help me with this, I will greatly appreciate it.

This message is going out to all my friends.

I am having a thyroid issue, and according to an ultrasound, I need to have a biopsy done. They need more information in order to figure out what is wrong.

One thing you guys need to know is that because my thyroid is acting up, my depression has been really kicking me lately. This is one of the reasons why I’ve been making mocktails so often. I’m trying to distract from my depression. So far, nothing is working. This comic describes my feelings exactly.

Prayers for me will be appreciated.

Jared, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Sending you lots of hugs.:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

Thank you.

There is actually one thing that you guys can do to help me out in my attempt to distract.

Could someone please help me improve two of my recipes? I have a feeling that both of these recipes are missing something, but I can’t figure out what.

One of the recipes is the mocktail recipe I posted earlier. The other one is in the index, but I can’t find it, so I’m reposting it.

Grandmas VVs goulash recipe.

One diced onion

1 pound of lean ground beef.

1 pound elbow macaroni.

Two 6 ounce cans tomato paste

Two 10 and three-quarter ounce cans tomato soup

Two 10 1/2 ounce cans cream of mushroom soup

Two 10 1/2 ounce cans cream of celery soup

Two 14 1/2 ounce cans cream corn

Two 14 1/2 ounce cans diced tomatoes

One 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained of juice.

Cook onions and meat in a pan until cooked.

Cook macaroni until cooked.

Combine tomato paste, tomato soup, cream of mushroom, cream of celery, cream corn, diced tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, and beef and onion mixture into a large pot with the macaroni and stir.

Let the ingredients simmer for a while. The longer it simmers, the tastier.

If someone could help me improve these two recipes, I would appreciate it. It would also help me distract.

I will be praying for you. I had thyroid issues for about 15 years and didn't know what was wrong with me. I finally had a Dr figure it out. It was amazing the change it made in me once I was on the correct dose of medication. Praying for the biopsy to be clear and for them to find the right treatment. All this to say, hang in there, it will get better. :hugs
