Turning a large water tank into a chook coop?

Maybe cut windows and weld an awning above to keep out rain... so many ways it could be done. You have a great start of a coop there.

not sure how i'd weld a rounded surface
Ventilation and protecting that from weather are the biggest and first considerations.
What is your climate/location?
Im in rural NSW australia, summers approaching. the winters can be chilly at night but its moderate most days.
I'll throw it out there.... what about leaving it on it's side and making it like a hoop coop? Then no roof structure needs to be built. Cut a door for entry in the flat end.
that would be good, but I'd have to cut it in half because the floor would be arched, and after the fact that I have to CRAWL into my other half tank coop (because my hens decide to lay at the very end) I'm not too eager about a non-walk in coop, sometimes you walk out clean but other times you get chicken poop on ya :D

Prop it up, wedge stuff in on the outside to keep it stable put a flat floor spanning the bottom 4 feet or so... Pallets.....

Best idea yet I think
