I'll throw it out there.... what about leaving it on it's side and making it like a hoop coop? Then no roof structure needs to be built. Cut a door for entry in the flat end.

not sure how i'd weld a rounded surfaceMaybe cut windows and weld an awning above to keep out rain... so many ways it could be done. You have a great start of a coop there.

Do you have welding equipment and skills. Not sure if galvanized can be welded? Assuming tank is galvanized.not sure how i'd weld a rounded surface
