Thanks to all who posted on my temperature control thread. I have purchased 2 more theomometers.

Was just wondering how many times everyone turns their eggs? I have learnt to turn them an odd number of times but some say 3 or 5 or even 7? Is it just personal preferance or is turning more better?

Also, my incubator is such, that the eggs lay on their sides. Should I turn them right the way around? or just a quater?

Thank you.

You can turn them an odd number, it makes the time spent on one side different every night. 3, 5 or 7 times will do fine.

You can turn 1/2 way round, 1/4 way round or like my incubator 3/4 of the way round. Do not do a full turn as the embryo will remain in more or less the same place. Marking the eggs with an X on one side and a O on the other means you can make sure you are turning them 1/2 a way round, which is what I recommend.
