Turning Green house into coop, What's the best way to do it?

It holds up to snow really well.

If I have to I can get some Sheet Metal, or Metal roofing instead of a tarp, or Canvas.

Condensation built up in a hoop house drips on plants .If you use a tight fitting tarp you could have the same problem.Canvas maybe not?You don't want water dripping on your chickens.

Canvas is less likely to condensate.

Good point about canvas v. plastic. I am working (planning really) on a similar project. With this in mind, I'll probably use canvas over the top and upper sides then plastic over that for more rain protection.

With adequate ventilation condensation isn't usually a problem -- though it *can* be in some climates.

Michigan gets really humid at times. Especially after thunderstorms.

High humidity here. And I was planning on double layering anyway...the tree cover drops a lot of stuff.

My hoop house doesn't have hardware cloth over it or I'd be tempted to let the chickens use it during the winter . Its only a couple feet from their coop and run.
