Turning the EGGS while incubating???

Tomorrow, on Monday, the first batch of eggs will be ready for lock down.I will still need to keep turning the second batch of eggs. Is it OK as far as temp and humidity drop when opening the lid?
I am so EXCITED!!!! Can't wait to see what kind of hatch I am going to have.... I really hope for good one....

i have expereimented wiht hatching and turning before, i hatched 85%with turning and 80% without turning the eggs at all at any point in incubation.

I am still patiently waiting fr any action... One egg has a crack since Monday and it looks like some liquid came out. No movements, no signs..... Can you spray the eggs with water to raise the humidity or it si not advisable the direct contact with water???

So Can you actually hatch a cracked egg??? Had anyone had any success with that?

Yes, I did hatch a cracked egg once. It was only a very small crack, about a 1/4 of an inch long, however it did not crack thru the inner membrane, so no liquids leaked out or anything. However moisture would have leaked out of the egg during incubation. I accidentally cracked it at day 12 or so. (Bobwhite egg.) So I put a piece of scotch tape over the crack, only large enough to cover this crack. I left it on until the chick started to zip out of the egg, as the crack and tape was right over the "zipping area" and I was worried the tape would interfere with the zipping process. The chick hatched out in the normal fashion is alive and well to this day.

Now this may not always work, depending on the severity of the crack and how soon you can repair it. Or even at what stage of incubation the crack appears. So no guarantees.

OK, today is the 17th day of the incubation of the first batch of 71 Tibetan quail... and I have 17 babies already!!!!! I am sooo happy.
They don't know how to drink thiough.....
