Turtle ID help please (pics)

I found this little hatchling in my yard yesterday. Little sucker bit me (Hard!) in the palm of my hand! So I am wondering if it is a snapping turtle? Anybody?

It looks like a baby snapper to me.....but the shell threw me for a loop.

I would still say snapper! Hes still cute, but your right best to find a far away pond and let him go.
