Turtles????

You can also build your own tank. you'll have to get the glass from somewhere though. All you need to do is build a frame for the tank. It has to be darn near perfect though. then you just need to use the proper sealent/adhesive to keep it together. I imagine you could find a blueprint online to build one. I'm sure it would be way cheaper to build one, rather than buy one from a store.

Yeah I was looking into building one myself, but sheets of good glass are really expensive. Plus, I dont wanna come down stairs one day to find the contents of the tank spread across my living room!

My father gave me this turtle as a wedding gift-just as I walked in the church decked out in my wedding gown. I tucked him in my sash and proceeded with the ceremony.

Still have the guy over 30 years later. Still have the husband, too.

Now, I wonder if he will outlive me and who will inherit him?

What a lovely gift! Hes a lovely looking turtle too. My turtle arrived this morning, I put him in his water and he is swimming around nicely. Im a bit concerned though as he isnt eating anything! Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

Do you have painted turtles in the UK? They stay pretty small. I had an aquatic turtle once. It was a huge pain in the butt (or should I say bum?

) If I had it to do over again, I would get a land dwelling turtle like a box turtle or a russian tortoise. They are just as cute and cleaning up after a land turtle would be way easier than a fish tank. They need LOTS of room and filthy up the water really quickly. My turtle was 3 inches across in a 30 gallon tank with 3 filters and it was still disgusting!
did you have a filter?
