TV for chickens... More eggs? True or False?

The other day a friend told me that if you let your chickens watch TV for about a half hour each day, at about lunch time, they'll lay more eggs for you. I told him I didn't think that was correct but then wanted to know for sure. So, is it true or not?

I've never heard this and since most chickens are kept outside, I'd say there are very few instances where this would even be feasible. I think that your friend was probably just messing with you.

Just make sure you change the channel if a KFC commercial comes on. They might stop laying all together if they saw that!

Seems ridiculous, but chickens are ridiculous. Give it a try and let us know. I would use an old TV. The dust might kill it.
