To be honest, I did not take this film, it was sent to me this morning and I could not keep that to myself. Precious video.
We do have moose here in Maine, to many at times.
They are a leading cause of auto accidents because they are such a slick blackish brown color that you are not able to see them and they can move quickly.
Even trailer trucks worry about hitting a moose as it can do some major damage to 18 wheelers.
The moose hunting season is welcome here, it keeps the moose fearful of humans and they will respect their distance between picture happy folks.
Anyways, I am so glad you have all enjoyed it! I thought it was pretty special too.

This is Arctic Lilly. I was the camera woman for Twin Baby Moose and found this thread when I googled Twin Baby Moose.

Anyway, we live in Anchorage and the moose in this area are pretty familiar with the neighborhood and the neighbors. The mother was raised here by her mother so she is not generally afraid of people, especially familiar ones. Hunting moose in Anchorage is not allowed for obvious reasons so these moose are generally docile unless their babies are brand new.

The moose had been in our yard about 3 hours that day and the mother was breathing very heavy, (my 7 year old asked if she was going to have another baby). We finally realized that she was hot. She had moved behind the fence and her babies were lying down behind the shed but I didn't think she would mind if I got in between her and them. I made a ton of noise moving the toys to put the sprinkler into place. The mother never looked up and the babies stayed behind the shed. I turned on the water and eventually they all started playing in it. They played in it for about 30 minutes.

They stayed all day and it was one of the most spectacular days of my life.

Glad you enjoyed it.
