Twin duck eggs

Morning
I woke up to find bruising outside the air cell but I didn’t get to the egg in time
I have made the safety hole but I believe at least one baby if not both in egg 1 have passed.
I’m feeling a bit guilty as I had been checking every 3-4 hours but fell asleep early and didn’t set my alarm
I will give it a bit more time but didn’t see any movement in egg 1 and looks to me like the veins are going away
Egg 2 I still see veins and movement along the air cell. But no bruise yet
I’ll be checking baby every hour for the bruise now

Fingers crossed every goes well with egg 2 and that you will know for sure about egg 1 soon

Egg one sadly both babies didn’t make it
They were perfectly formed
One a bit bigger then the other
I think I would only have been able to save baby one as the second baby had it’s head tucked into its belly
I removed the yolks for the pictures but they both still had yolks
Egg 2 there is movement but I have no idea where the beaks are and no bruises yet
So nothing I can do

Sorry for your loss. You did everything you could for these babies. I haven't seen a thread on twins where they made it this far yet. Still praying for egg#2

I do think having a smaller air cell helped
It’s my fault as I knew I needed to watch for the bruising outside the air cell
But I broke my broken toe last night only 3 days after breaking it the first time. I was in a lot of pain and forgot to set alarms to check on the eggs
If I could have broke a hole where the bruise was babies beak was right there and they would have got air
Just wish egg 2 would make a bruise so I can help

Dont beat yourself up, you know the risks, and it is so hard for twins. Even if you had seen the bruising, and assisted, there's no telling whether or not they'd have made it all the way. You did amazingly getting them that far

I removed the yolks for the pictures but they both still had yolks

How big were the yolks?
Twins just don't have enough space for maturing.
