TWINS!?! please please PLEASE help!

The egg is still rocking, so at least one is still alive, hopefully both, but no progress has been on the pip. I think I'm going to have to pip the other end. The pip that is there hasn't browken the membrane, so I think I might have to do that to get some air in there. I have to go to school in a half hour

hopefully they'll be OK while I'm gone.

OK, so I'm leaving for school in a half hour now. I usually get there early, so I'm staying a little longer. The chick that had already pipped made another pip, starting to zip the egg, but didn't break the membrane, so I did. I tried to make a pip on the other end, and I hit the membrane. Something moved against it. I just have to break the membrane so it can breathe. I'm almost postive there are two living chicks in there!

OK, I'm doubtful of their survival, as mentioned before twins don't usually do well, but this thread has me, I hope they do well. Can't you skip school this one day? this is an educational experience after all!

Saw a small speck of blood when I tried to pip the membrane, so I'll leave them until I get home from school....

Good luck to these babies as they're really going to need it. Usually one chick will be much stronger than the other and will kick the other upon actual hatch making it extremely weak and most likely die. These chicks will need help in the later stages definitely. Stay home if you want them to have any chance of survival.
