Two brooders

Hi I am new here. But need advice. I have two brooders on the same batch of eggs. They were in the same pen with another hen and Waffle our silkie rooster. The other day I found a fertilised egg due in about 5 days to hatch broken strewn across the pen and no chick in sight. I have put a cage over the two hens last night as one of the eggs now the chick is chirping inside. I tried to seperate the two brooders with sharing the eggs out but they wouldnt rest back on the eggs. put them together again and they settled. Is there anything else I can do as I really dont want to loose anymore chicks as I am super pumped about them

Wait for the chicks to hatch and see what the hens do. Sometimes 2 hens can share a brood and work things out, but if there's squabbles separate them, each with their share of the chicks. Good luck!
