two broody hens, two hatches in the same coop - will that work?

She started setting on 2 eggs Sunday and today is Tuesday I checked yesterday and there were 5 eggs under her I could just leave her in the coop she's in with the other 2 hens? One of the hens I almost think they are sharing duties as I have seen then both in the coop setting? I would just need to possibly add a nesting area for hens that want to lay but don't want to bug her? So you think moving her into the same coop as the one about to hatch wouldn't work? I would move both the hen and the eggs?

From what I've read the broody hens should be in a nest by themselves as the others can walk on the egs trying to lay in that nest and break them.. if your other soon to be mom is by herself and you could create a nest for the new one in that area I think that would be best or better yet i would move the nest the egs are in and her at night.. cmon everybody I'm new at this my first time too.. let's have some input from some seasoned cjickeneers

I've still not gotten any real answers...hoping someone out there can let me know otherwise I am going to have to wing it!?

I have a broody in a small coop (maternity ward) by herself setting on 8 eggs due to hatch this weekend.

I have another broody who just started setting on eggs 3 days ago - currently setting on 7 which I marked on with a pencil yesterday. The coop the new broody is in only has 1 nesting box and it's in with the rest of my small flock which is 4 hens (including her) and 1 cockerel.

I would like to move this broody into the maternity ward but since their hatch dates will be 2 weeks apart is there any danger in that? There is two nesting boxes in this coop and they do have access to a run and food an water?

I am thinking if I don't hear any advice by the end of today I will move her tonight. she is a calm broody they both are really I think they will both make great mothers just don't know since this is my very first experience with hatching eggs.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I would move her too.. let her continue to set.. I don't think there will b a problem since the other hen already has her clutch.. from what I've seen.. it's the other hens that act witchy.. I don't know why no one has answered.. I've not had much luck getting answers either. . The only suggestion I can make is pick someone out and msg them.. good luck and keep me posted

My first broody started her hatch this morning!! 2 so far 8 eggs total!

I am I. the same situation right now, but I have 2 broody Hmong hens who are sisters, and they started brooding about 5 days apart. Each is sitting on eggs in different nests (same coop), but every few days they swap. I have no idea how this will turn out...hoping for the best!
