TWO broodys- ONE baby chick...

Yes it's an American site, you could check to see if they ship up there !!! Did you look on Craigslist.com at all ??? I tryed to look for you but couldn't figure out what you were near. Is the hen still broody ??

She just seems to be frantic to get to my other hens baby...doesn't leave the side of the pen and when I come in the coop she paces back and forth trying to get into the pen...she won't leave the coop. She does, however, go into a nest at night...I wonder if I placed eggs under her if she would sit on them. I will check out Craigslist.com.

I wish you were closer to me, i have a ton of babies !!!!

Check out craigslist and see if you find anything, you might have to just let her "get over it" as sad as it sounds !!! I dont think its all that healthy to have her sit again (on eggs) if she just became un-broody.... I takes alot out of them !!!! And I wouldn't want to see her unhealthy !!!

What would happen if you let her and your other hen together with the baby ?? (Don't try unless you plan on watching for a while)

I don't know what would happen. I would assume, since mothers are protective of their young that they would fight over the baby. I guess I will just have to wait for a few weeks before I can let the mother and baby out of the pen.
