Two Chickens Gone?????

I let my (8) chickens out every night to run for bout an hour. Every night they go back into the coop and lock them down. Last night I locked them in and went to bed......they were scuffling around...strange....but I am not an expert so just left them alone. I got up this morning and opend the door and put out fresh water and went to work. I came home tonight and let (6) chicnes out of the pen.
One laying RIR and one Silver Laced Conchin Roo are gone???? I waled around the house and property but no feathers or them???? Guess I will be getting more soon. It is a sad day, but I guess this is why I do not name or touch them. But what ever got them is now getting my EGGS LOL

I'm sorry to hear that! Before you get more, be sure to go in to the coop with a flashlight and block every possible opening the predator could have used. It sounds like something may have slipped in at night. Some animals can get through very small holes...

I don't think they were in when I locked the gate and door last night......it was just different and I ignored it....my fault!
