You could use a gentle stream of contact solution or saline solution to rinse the eye out when/if it seems needed.

I believe it could be caused by the humidity being just a little too low a few days before hatching. I remember someone saying to put a bowl of water right under the heat lamp in the brooder, then a grill of some sort so the chicks don't sit on the edges or drink from it if they have sat on it and pooped in it.

most likely if the eye is cloudy he is blind, the vet said that my dog was turning blind because her eyes were becoming cloudy
