I think I have two bantams with the same problem you are describing. The feathers on their lower back are scraggly looking like they haven't grown in yet or are being picked on I'm not sure.

I have a question. I have three easter eggers (4 weeks) and I always hear that people say they can lay any color. My question is, is it different every time they lay or is the surprise in the first time they lay to see what color they wil be laying. I feel like this is such a stupid question, but there it is.
