Two chicks hatched with no neck feathers?

Ok here are the little cuties.

This one has more feathers on the neck than the chick in the first photo.

These photos came out smaller than I thought they would. If you need them bigger let me know or else I can just email them.

It gets more complicated in that Teacher said she got a few eggs from a friend's farm. Those chickens are of a fuzzy head variety but none of these chicks have fuzzy heads. Teacher said to her knowledge her friend didn't have any Naked Neck chickens but she is going to ask her.

Fuzzy head might be showgirls. Cross between silkies and NN. When you mentioned bow tie, it made me wonder about that connection. The showgirls that are heterozygous will have the bowtie instead of the entirely naked neck.

In the second photo, that chicken is not as noticeable from the front. It has the big fluff of feathers on the neck like a boa a woman might where in Vegas. But from the back, as in the photo, you can see there are no feathers.

Are these Naked Neck chicks?

They look more naked neck than showgirls to me. But the NN gene might have gotten back in there if the other source of eggs had showgirls in their flock.

Those in the picture are definitely naked necks/turkens. Yeah...I'm not overly fond of them...I can stomach the silkies better...I think just because their skin is darker and not quite as obscene looking.
