We have the chicken coop Rhode Island Red house in the back from the Chicken Coop Company, and a coop we got on Amazon on the side a long time ago. The run we also bought on Amazon and are expanding it. It’s cute. Will be painting the smaller coop to match the back coop. None of this was built from the ground up. I still think it works. We will see. We have a total of 15 clucks right now.

I have done this a couple times. I called them “chicken duplexes”. Sometimes the chickens would prefer one over the other and I would end up with an empty coop.
Yep exact same thing happened to me. Of course they all wanted to huddle in the little old coop and wanted nothing to do with their brand new $3000 prefab. Lol.

I'd be surprised if this setup works. That is very tight for 15 chickens.

Chickens copy other chickens. If you don't lock them in the coop you want them to go back to for a few days (which you can't do because your coops are too small) then they will likely all huddle together in one coop.
