category 1, pic 1: I was trying to take a picture of an araucana who was a recent arrival. she had been quarantined, but one of my resident marans still couldn't get used to the idea and in the very moment I was pressing the button she jumped to get the new one and the little araucana took off to get to my shoulder and save her skin.
that disappointed look made my day!

category 1, pic 2: these are the araucanas the day they arrived. I didn't have a proper space for their quarantine, so I put them with rabbits. I didn't want them to mess with rabbit food, so I built a space where rabbits could eat in peace, but araucanas seemed to think they were on a trip to the zoo!
