So I have two hens who are about 7 months old one is a crested buff and the other is brown and white (not sure of breed). A couple of days ago I got two day old ducklings one is a WH and the other unknown I managed to vent sex them and found they are both little boys.
I am raising them together so they will be friends. I just want to know your thoughts on how they will go when they are older and with the hens. I know the ideal ratio is 1 drake to 2 or 3 ducks but could it be OK this way?? I would just like to hear peoples thoughts and advice on this and if anyone has been in a similar situation I would like to hear about it :)

I had 2 crested females and 2 males. Though only problems I had was that both drakes were breeding both hens so their back feathers were pulled out. And a lot of their crest feathers were pulled out. Now that I have just one drake, the feathers are growing back. But I wouldn't worry too much, vent sexing is very unreliable unless you are an expert. Atleast from what I heard. After 6-8 weeks I was able to tell male from female.

I have two lovely hand raised boys and I just got them 3 girlfriends, all is well :) No fighting or anything yet. I think in the end the ducks will work it out themselves, it is in their nature. You probably wouldnt need to worry for a long while anyways

I do not have any experience with drakes, yet, but I've often read that males can be quite aggressive, which explains the ratio for hens to drakes.

If they are both drakes just raise them together like ktduck said. That's what I did and I had no fighting.

If you hand raise your ducks you may have a better chance of them not becoming very aggressive, although this is only my opinion and has worked for me
