Hello! I have one 9 week old duck. I love and care for him in my spare time, but when I'm at school he is alone. I am aware that getting another would be in his best interest, but I have some concerns. Will he not want to snuggle with me as much? Will I be able to create a bond with the second one? I want them to be like loving pets. Is this possible with two? At this point he is very loving to me, and i want it to stay that way.

If you have the time and patience to invest in the relationship, then it can be very sweet. But, just like with people, half of it is going to depend on the individual duck. All mine are friendly, some of them are downright cuddly - sometimes. They are always loads of fun to be with. They are my fan club.

You have to think of what is best for the duck and ducks being flock animals means despite how much you try are incapable of providing everything a fellow duck can give.

I have several of everything here, it will NOT stop the friendly ones.. they either are or that aren't, yes you can nurture it but the personality has to be there.

An overly dependent animal on a human is never a good idea, honestly.
