My stepdaughter and grandson are living with us temporarily, as is their teacup chihuahua, Rudy.

Most of the time I insist that Rudy stay in the kitchen, since DSD never took the time to housebreak him, but we let him out a couple of times a day for playtime.

This dog is hilarious! He has gotten it in his itty bitty brain that he can beat up our GSDs. He sits on one of ours laps and snarls and growls at the GSDs, wagging his tail the whole time. If the shepherds try to walk away from him, he runs after them. If the shepherds lay down, he jumps up on their backs and bites the back of their ears.

This morning Rudy decided he was going to kill my shepherd Kane by going for his throat. Rudy managed to get ahold of a tiny bit of Kane's throat when Kane decided to walk away, with Rudy still hanging from his throat.

In the meantime I am stuck using his old laptop while my computer (with the camera software) is in the shop.

Yeah, we were talking about that last night. DSD says it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. Nonetheless, Kane and Jax have had Rudy's head in their mouths several times, but never bite down; luckily for Rudy.

Grit- One day I was in the house and heard Carme, one of the fearless brood, Just barking and sounding like she was about to tear something up. I went to investigate and found a very large charlois bull backed up in a corner of the pasture with 4lb Carme in front making him scream UNCLE! We have since lost our warrior but took a rescue to help fill the empty spot.

I've owned chihuahuas before and I do love the breed, but my heart belongs to the german shepherds.

We have four smallish dogs in the house (didn't plan on it, just kept getting people's rejects) and Boo-Boo will chew on Sophie's ear to where it looks like she should be writhing in pain with the energy he puts into it, but in actuality he is just licking with vigor. Her one ear is the cleanest one in our whole house!

Our cat Lexi used to chase our German shep. Justice around the house all the time, he could have killed her with one bite but he was instead terrified of her :o)

They're so funny! My cat and dobie were best buddies and played the most fearsome mock battles. Both at worst would end up quite covered in drool. Strangers were terrified of the "violence".
