Zelda is in the front and Hilda is in the back.

This is Zelda, the one whose comb and wattle I was concerned about.

This is Hilda whose comb and wattle are much larger and redder.

Hi I have two golden sex-link (golden comet or star) hens that are about 3 1/2 months old (they were hatched about mid-March this year) and both appear very healthy in behavior and appearance accept one has a much smaller and pinker comb and wattle. I don't know if she is really behind the other in development or if the other one is just way ahead. I know this can be a sign of a poor layer but hope this isn't a sign that this chicken needs to go. She eats just as well as the other chickens and is the same size as her sister. Her personality is different - she is much friendlier than the other chickens (not as scared of me). I'll try to post pics. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the welcome and for the reply! Glad to hear this shouldn't be a problem. I tried to take pics that would show how different they look based on their combs/wattles.

And excuse the second rate pin you may notice, we are actually working on putting in a feeding/watering system with pvc pipe where they aren't drinking out of the pot you see in the background.
