I was raising two geese in hopes of a male and female, but they are two males. One of my friends offered to bring her female over so we can get fertile eggs to incubate, or vis versa. How long should we leave the two together?

Is the female already with other males? She can store sperm for quite awhile.

It depends on the personality of the birds. Some might start breeding right off the bat while others may take awhile to warm up to a new bird.

geese dont retain sperm for long periods of time because they lay so very few eggs in a season. So if you put them together for the next week, 2 weeks later fertility will be declining and by 3 weeks after being removed from each other they could likely not be fertile at all.

geese also dont just pair up and get along so be ready for some aggression. It would be best for ONLY ONE of the ganders to goto her. This way you dont have to pen a solo gander and dont have gander fights over one goose
