Two mean chickens

I went in the coop this morning and there was blood on two roosts. I have 96" roost for 6 chickens but added another 96" just so there would be another choice. Not sure which chick (s) was attacked and not sure which of the two adult chickens did it, but the "nicer" one was pecking the heck out of one last night on the roost but finally stopped after 15 min. With no blood at that point. This morning there was blood on the two roosts but couldn't find which one (s) got attacked. Do I keep allowing them to work it out in this way? At what point is too much blood? I've read other threads but not sure when is the cutoff point?

No blood should be shed....Separate....

makes me wonder, once it's dark, do they still peck eachother? i find that when i turn on the light and check on my girls for any reason, they will start pecking.. but once it's dark, all seems quiet in there..

and i've never had one of my girls peck another bad enough to bleed.. except for a nip on the comb..
