Two questions for gun control people

Rubber bullets only...

People don't want guns outlawed because *whine* "only the criminals will have guns and I won't be able to protect myself"...What I am saying is keep your guns, but phase out the lethality capabilities of said guns..by all means protect yourself, but as long as you have killing power, so will the bad guys...so keep the guns and make them non lethal...people would stop shooting up places, because they wouldn't really get what they were after...

You have been watching to many movies. Maybe in a generation or two.

There ya go...you can protect yourselves, but not kill 30 or 40 people before you are stopped should you happen to lose your mind and go on a rampage. That is all I am getting at...we need guns to be not quite so deadly...that way you can stop someone before they mow down Mrs. Thompson's 2nd grade science class.

or roast them slowly over an open fire...with forks the possibilities are endless..the sky is the limit.

By banning guns that already exist in the public hands, is like putting those guns in the hands of criminals in the long term. Theory: You own a gun that becomes illegal to have. That gun doubled in value the week before the law was passed. Simply because the gun was going to become illegal. Now you cant legally sell it to at a gun shop. So what are you gonna do? Your gonna sell it in a private sale"which will now be considered black market". Where do you think these guns are gonna end up in the long run? ...........What looks good on paper doesn't necessarily work in the real world.

That is why outlawing guns wouldn't work..too many are out there already...we just have to make the guns out now less deadly.

Bullets that can kill should be made super expensive to buy...the only cheap bullets should be tranquilizers...that way you can shoot and stun your assailant, or the clerk at the store you are robbing--whatever you are using the gun for...make killing bullets super hard to buy, and make tranqs easy. that is how you solve the issue...That way when a person goes somewhere and starts mowing people down they are going to wake in a few hours feeling disoriented, but not dead or paralyzed...I guess there are some people that could have reactions to whatever is used in these no kill bullets, but that would still take down on gun related deaths by a lot.
Interesting that you should mention less-than-lethal ammo considering the number of things that have been banned under the theory that they have no "legitimate sporting purpose." Real tear gas is a good example.

And I always thought that stopping a crazed killer was a "legitimate sporting purpose." I guess the folks in Washington know better than I what I need?

NOT!
