My first question is:
I have a younger Royal Palm tom that decided he was going to court the plam hen. Well she decided to allow it. This is the first time I have ever seen them do this. Do they breed in the winter months? He seemed like he had no idea what he was doing, it was quite funny. As he stood on the hens back my blue slate tom ran around them in a circle making a funny noise. It was almost like the slate tom was protecting them. My hen did not lay at all this year, I assume she will start in the spring. If they start breeding, will she start laying now?
My second Question:
My 4 turkeys have been attracting a huge flock of wild turkeys into our yard most mornings. I believe they are calling the wild flock. Will the wild toms try to breed my palm hens?
