I have recently almost finished my laying hen coop. They will be free range. I am wanting some meat hens, so I can hatch some eggs for butchering. If I have to seperate coops, an teach each flock which one is there "home" can I free range two flocks without one brew of rooster breeding another?

A rooster will breed any hen he has a chance to...even a duck hen! You will have to keep them seperated by breed for at least 2 weeks before collecting setting eggs to make sure you get what you want. I would make pens on each coop and just alternate letting each group out.
