Two things: coop ventilation & brooder dust related.

Hmmm I have 18 good looking eggs in the bator ready to hatch in the next few days.  I am now worried about the smell/dust I am going to have with that many chicks!!  I don't even have a coop ready yet so I can't do outside--just yet!!!
The litter type helps with smell. If you use sand, I've heard that that helps with smell.. but it would be a lot of dust.. same with shavings..

Do you have a garage or a shed? That's where I keep mine (barn).

Hmmmm... then life will certainly be an adventure. Like living on the edge, eh? LOL

yeah well the coop is in progress. It started as a school project. I wanted chickens but sometime in the future--not now. Then I hatched an eggie and it was my only one and well I fell in love and decided to keep them! lol! So my dh is scrambling to get something together for the chicks NOW! lol!
