We use to know a guy who use to ask us for the coon. Said he would cook it up. I've never eaten any not sure if I would either! lol

My hubby has tried it. Not knowing what it was. As a teen the grandfather of one of his friends asked them if they wanted a turkey sandwich & of course beeing teens & always hungry they said yes. He said it was like biteing into a crisco sandwich. YUK. The old man just laughted his head off at them. Then hubby got to looking at it & asked when did turkeys start having 4 legs?

Caught this one this morning. I didn't remember to bring more cat food to the cage. But had a paper towel that my daughter had sliced apples wrapped in for the horse.
so I threw that in the cage instead. He must have like it paper towel was gone he must have eaten it.

BBQ 'coon tastes good! least it did when I was a kid, and we'd take the ones we caught to our neighbor. He'd grill it up and give us half. It was kind of like pork ribs.

Good work! I was going to say your coons look kind of skinny, but then i realized you're in Florida. Haha, they don't need big puffy jackets there with 3 inches of fat.

Got down to 28 here at my place the other night. IN FLORIDA. Wish I was back in WARM western Washington!
