Two young chicks have passed, any advice?

Did you check them for pasty butt?

I check a few times a day and haven’t found anything that could be a problem. The two that passed did not have anything either.

I know some puppy pee pads can release things that can cause issues with a chick’s respiratory system. That may be the issue. I would remove it just in case and use paper towels as bedding.
