Hey?! What happened to you fine tail feathers buddy?

He must be moulting!

He hasn’t been very active this past week now that I think about it. And I remember seeing some of his long tail feathers around, didn’t think anything of it till now.

So cute! What were you feeding them? I've been giving my girls currants and the grapes have just come ripe. They devour them!

Cheese... sometimes Mozarella, or Cheddar, or Baby Bells, or feta... or raisins... or whatever's in the fridge... watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries, grapes, strawberries, spinach, or Greek yogurt... or baked & buttered sweet potato or rice... or cherry tomatoes or cukes from the garden... or lamb, corn, peas, etc etc etc, w/vitamins... they aren't usually fussy

Sounds like my girls! Every time I come to their pen or put my hand down, they come running to see what I've brought them...lol

After losing my old friend I met up today with two of the children that we both cared for since they were born. These girls are now completely grown up and all of us sad to lose this adorable man.

So to celebrate my old friends life we went to the seaside and played a couple of his favourite songs.
Then we continued our/his day at a lovely restaurant. So today was truly lovely. I couldn't think of a nicer way to say goodbye to him.

That truly is a wonderful remembrance.

They were a lot of fun. I just couldn't stand it when we had to sell the young ones, we just couldn't keep all of them our we'd be overrun. In the fall or following spring it didn't matter, their mama would call and call for them. It broke my heart. So we made the decision to find a new home for them.

That would be heartbreaking.
