Welcome to BYC! Tylan 50 and Tylan 200 are well known for causing injection site necrosis. Are you seeing swelling where you injected?

Yes. Swelling only tho.. no redness or anything like that.. just puffy.

Don't be surprised if it gets worse before it gets better. You can give it orally instead, which is what I would do, but either way, Tylan is supposed to be poultry no less than twice day.

Yes. Only swelling. No redness or change in behavior.

The one time I used it it did the same, but ended up damaging the muscle tissue.

Hard to say what will happen at the injection site. The swelling could go down, but it's possible that it will leave a hole in the muscle.

!!! So do u know why the 200 does that?? If I knew anything like this would happen I would of never done that!! Is there something else that works just as good but not so dangerous??
