Tylan for chickens? Please help!

I had to cull 2 chickens today due to some sort of respitory inf. (one had bubbly eye and sneezing, quite smelly up close, the other just sneezing). I want to treat the rest of the flock, precautionary. My local tsc has tylan for cattle but not chickens. Is this the same tylan? If so what is the dosage for 1 gallow of water. They are banties in case that makes a difference.

Also do i treat the 2 week olds that are in the same coop (in there own cage) but still exposed?

There are no antibiotics for chickens, really. All uses of those for birds are off-label. The problem is that you can't treat an illness before they have it with an antibiotic. Tylan won't prevent them from getting a disease because it won't kill a virus. The best thing to do would be to purchase some Oxine AH from somewhere like Amazon.com and use that. It is known to kill viruses and bacteria and may keep those things from infecting your birds. It is several hundred times more effective than bleach, plus you can treat their water with it as well as fog it in the coops.
