Tylan OR Pennicilin????

Vet RXis not an antibiotic, look at the ingredients and see for yourself.

Antibiotics will only work if your bird has a bacterial infection that is sensitive to that antibiotic. If it has a fungal infection, you might make it sicker.

GEEEZZ... I'm even more confused now. The closest avian vet to me is 2 hours away... with out a proper diagnosis I just don't know what to do...

A five to seven day treatment of what I recommended won't harm your chick either. I highly doubt the problem is due to Aspergillosis, or some other fungal disease. Most respiratory problems are bacterial or viral. If you were raising chicks outside in dirty, moist, shady area, there would be a chance of mold/fungus. If you were feeding rancid feed, there would also be possibility. Even then, you would see diarrhea, imbalance, lameness, etc. Use the Vet-RX and see how it works if you want. Good luck.

yes but then it was white drainage you can also try eye solution just to clean any dirt or just to clean the eye

There's no drainage or pus at all. Just red, bulging from corner of eye. The symptoms don't match anything I've researched I'm leaning more towards an irritation or injury at this time. Brooder always kept clean, fresh food and water. Added sandbags grit so maybe she got sand in her eye. I'm going to try to hunt down the vet rx this weekend Loving all of the feedback. TY !!!!!!

I am not saying it is, but you should google eye worms and see if the symptoms match. If they do, you can put 2-3 drops of Ivermectin in the eye and it should clear up.
I need to comment on this again... Three drops of 1% ivermectin is about 1/10 of a cc(ml), which is, if I have done my math correctly, 1000 micrograms. According to all of the info I have found, the dose for poultry is 200 micrograms per kilogram (2.2 pounds), so three drops would be enough to threat a 5 kilogram bird (11 pounds).

It's early in the morning for me, so please, if I have written something that is not true, please, please do correct me!
