Thanks. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions. I'm writing them all down and if I don't get them answered in my research in a week or so, I'll probably start asking. LOL

Thank you. If we were to get one, it would definitely be just "one" for the cuteness factor for my kids. LOL.

But I also read they don't do well getting wet and we live in rainy Washington... but I know some people who have Silkies here so it's definitely one of my research topics.

Hi and welcome to BYC! Thank you for the wonderful introduction, it's so nice to meet you! If you're looking to spend some time researching, this is definitely the place to be. You can find lots of great information on just about anything you could think of related to poultry here. I can easily spend hours just reading through the forums. My flock is kept inside a 1/3 acre pen surrounded with poultry netting powered with a 10,000 volt charger. Bella touched the fence while obsessing over the chickens. She now thinks they are horrible creatures.
