Just ordered 5 “Chocolate Eggers” and a Speckled Sussex roo from Cackle! Wondered if anyone had any experience with the Chocolate Eggers at all? I am pretty excited for them!!
And if anyone helped me on my initial starting of chickens is reading, you know how excited I am to get another Speckled Sussex here! Their hatch date is February 12th so I will be sure to report back with pictures of hopefully happy healthy chicks and probably a surprise of what colors!

Cream Legbars are starting to lay I believe!! First egg was pretty blue but second was a little more green. Slightly disappointed they are on the green side instead of blue… makes me wish we went Ameraucana for a real blue. But maybe the other 2 will be blue or atleast 1 good blue layer? Fingers crossed! Still pretty eggs though!

So much for 5 and 1.. try 8 and 1!!! this was as soon as they got home all piled together! They are all full of energy and looking healthy! Can’t wait to watch them grow and see what their final look will be!

Wife came home with 4 Sapphire Sky chicks today guess we have a full dozen in the brooder now!
