My husband brought his two banty dutch roos out of the greenhouse to experience their first snow. We've got about 5 inches and it's still coming down hard.

They sat on his shoulder chattering like crazy looking around then trying to eat the falling flakes. My DH decided to toss one out to walk around in it since they didn't seem willing to try it themselves. He tossed but the roo did a midair U-turn flying right back to his shoulder. He tried it about three times before the roo missed and landed on the ground.

Poor little guy sank up to his belly and just stood there apalled unwilling to move. We never did convince one of them to walk in it. My honey took them back to the warm greenhouse. [IMG]

Our hens HATE snow and will go to great lengths to avoid it! However, they love to try to eat icicles. (No idea either. Maybe because they're shiny?) [IMG]
