ugh black friday!!!!

heh, my feed store was swamped this morning. probably because they were doing their own 'black friday' sale and some good coupons. i'd hate to go in there tomorrow and see what is left!

went to feed store, no prob, went to bank, no prob, went to nursery supply warehouse, picked up rye grass seed without a hitch, came home and asked the bride if she wanted me to ride herd over the kids while she went out, she opted to stay home and mulch the beds around the house!!!

You're absolutely right! We celebrate each "holiday" by shopping. It's crazy!

Our family has all agreed that the term "Black Friday" was mislabeled it should be "Black and Blue Friday!"

I actually love black friday!

BUT! I had to clean someone's house today so I missed out. Had to be there at 5am and didn't get out until 2pm (YUCK! wasn't a pretty house to clean!

) so I completely MISSED IT!

I am trying to break the slave to junk cycle in my familys life, the buy more stuff thats obsolete in 6 months is just making me feel like a hamster on a wheel.......of course as I say that I am working on a plan for a new meat chicken project...hahah well at least when the meat chickens are obsolete I will be full!!!
I swear anymore cradle to grave your just plastered with the mantra of you must buy this stuff, to be a good person you have to have _________, and _________, and ________, otherwise people wont like you as much, from the shoe's we wear to the truck you drive, to the things we eat and drink, just sorta getting fed up with all the crap!!! sorry for the rant!!

When I woke up Friday before daylight, I was comforted to know that while everyone else was acting like battering rams and charging up massive credit card amounts, I was in my cozy, warm bed, nowhere to go, nothing to do except quilt and spend time with my chickens. There really is an upside to being poor.

I've never heard of Black Friday before so this thread has been a bit of an education for me. I don't think we have an equivalent in England, or Spain. Seems to fill people with dread...

Because yall don't have Thanksgiving. Christmas season cant start till after Thanksgiving but since thanksgiving is so close to Christmas your behind if you dont start shopping the next day which is Friday.... Black Friday.
