I like to say that my roos are just making sure the neighborhood kids don't miss the bus. They both start crowing about 45 minutes before the bus shows up, then they usually are quiet until they hear the bus pull into the subdivision.
So far none of my neighbors have complained about the roos... but then they have outside dogs that bark all night long, so I guess it is a compromise.
